DESCRIPTION:
Extraordinary French Boulle mantle clock with original bracket, in red tortoiseshell with brass inlay and ormolu mounts to the waisted side, surrounded by a winged figure and having glazed full-opening door. Dial with enamel plaques and blue Roman numerals on gilt repoussé dial plate. The unsigned eight-day spring movement strikes the hours on gong and has square plates. Base of bracket to top of trumpet measures 42 inches, ca 1825. Please see condition report regarding preview and shipping of this clock. Collection of George H Long.

GRO, excellent overall condition, one of the finest quality and best condition we have seen with inlay carrying through to case interior. There is one split along and edge, shown in photos.
